WINE CHEESE DIP

1/2 pound (lb) sharp cheddar cheese
1 8 ounce package (pkg) cream cheese
6 tablespoon (tbsp) rose' wine
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp) powdered ginger
salt and cayenne to taste
Fresh pears

Put cheeses through ricer or food mill. Blend well with wine, almonds and ginger. Add salt and cayenne to taste. Yeild: 2 1/4 c dip. Serve at room temperature. Serive with fresh sliced pears.
