Banana Fudgies
1 package (6 ounce) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/2 cup sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teasppon salt
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas (about 3)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
Melt chocolate in top of small double boiler over simmering water. Remove from heat.
sift flour, baking powder and salt onto wax paper.
Beat eggs well in a medium sized bowl. Beat in sugar gradually; stir in chocolate and mashed bananas.
Sift in dry ingredients, blending well. Stir in walnuts and vanilla. Pour in 8 by 8 by 2 inch pan, greased.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until firm on top. Cool in pan. Cut into 2 inch squares.
