Press half of mixture into a 9 inch by 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Melt slowly 28 ounces caramels in 1/3 cup canned milk. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips over cake. Spread melted caramel mixture over top. Crumble second half of cake mixture on top. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake 18 minutes.
