Easy Homemade Barbecue Sandwiches

Water
1 boneless pork shoulder roast, 3 to 4 pounds
salt and pepper to taste
1 bottle (16 ounces) BBQ sauce
8 toasted hamburger buns or sandwich rolls

  1. Cover bottom of crockpot with one inch of water. Place roast in crockpot. Season with salt and pepper. Cover. Cook on long, eight to ten hours.
  2. Remove roast from crockpot. Let stand 15 minutes. Discard liquid. Shred cooked roast.
  3. Return meat to crockpot. Add BBQ sauce. Mix well. Cover. Cook on high for 30 minutes.
  4. Serve BBQ mixture on buns. Makes eight to ten servings.
