Green Pepper Jelly

3 large green peppers or 3 large red peppers
3 hot peppers (banana peppers)
6 and 1/2 cups sugar
Red or green food coloring
1 and 1/2 bottles Certo (this would be 3 of the aluminum pouches sold today [1984])


Grind peppers (remove seeds from hot ones). Add sugar and vinegar. Cook 5 minutes at a rolling boil. Strain and boil again. Add red or green food coloring. Boil 1 minute. Add certo. Pour into clean jars and seal with wax.
