1 cup butter or margarine
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 and 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
Melt butter and chocolate over low-heat. Add sugar and eggs; mix thoroughly. Sift flour with baking powder and sitr into creamed mixture. Mix in vanilla and nuts. Bake in greased 9 inch by 13 inch by 2 inch pan in moderate or 350 degrees over for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut in 3 inch by 1 and 1/2 inch bars...makes 2 dozen.
