1/2 lb ground Italian sausage
1 chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
3 14-oz cans chicken broth
1/2 c crushed tomatoes in tomato puree- I used Italian recipe style
2 zucchini quartered & sliced
1 carrots peeled & diced
3 stalks celery diced
1 diced green pepper
1/2 c orzo pasta uncooked
1/2 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1/2 t oregano
1 t basil
2/3 c shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 c white wine or chicken broth
Brown sausage, drain. Leave small amt drippings in pan and add onion & garlic. Cook til tender. Add broth, wine, vegetables and seasonings. Bring to boil. Add pasta. Simmer 20 min. Add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle servings with cheese.
