1 package or tbsp dry yeast
2 cup lukewarm milk
4 eggs, seperated
1 tsp vanilla
2 and 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup milted butter
Sprinkle yeast over warm milk. Stir to dissolve. Beat egg yolks and add to yeast mix with vanilla. Sift together flour, salt sugar; add to liquid ingredients. Stir in melted butter and combine thoroughly. Beat the egg whites until stiff; carefull fold into batter. Let mix stand in a warm place about 45 minutes or until double in bulk. Bake in waffle iron. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Yeilds 8 large waffles.
