1 lb lean ground beef
3-4 medium potatoes,cut in chunks
1 medium onion, diced
1 15-oz can green beans, drained
1 15-oz can niblet corn, drained
1 15-oz can stewed or diced tomatoes
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
1 pkg of beef stew seasoning mix
Salt and Pepper to taste
Boil potatoes until almost tender, set aside. Brown ground beef and drain. Add onions to beef and heat thoroughly. Add beef and onions to potatoes. If not enough liquid add some water, simmer. Add corn, beans, tomatoes and tomato sauce (or whatever veggies you like), simmer for 10 minutes. Add beef stew mix, salt, pepper and stir thoroughly, simmer another 10 minutes. Great with corn bread or my husband likes garlic bread with his.

This is very easy on the budget and good and hearty! Goes great with a crusty loaf of bread!

After the last power outage, I wanted to test my wood stove for cooking in case of another outage. The stove has a flat top. So I cooked some beef stew. It tasted great. Thanks for the recipe Rhonda. But the wood stove has to have a top that would hold the pan.
