1/2 lb lean ground meat (beef)
3 tbsp grated onion
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 cup onion juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tbsp tomato sauce
2 and 1/2 tbsp wheat germ
2 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup pineapple chunks
Combine pineapple juice, vinegar, tomato sauce, soy sauce, 1/2 of garlic, onion juice, sugar and pepper in pan on low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat. Place meat in bowl. Add onion, 1/2 garlic, wheat germ, 2 tbsp prepared sauce, Worchestershire and mix well. Chill. Roll in walnut size balls. Place on oiled baking sheet. Place under broiler and cook, turning once, until done. Heat remaining prepared sauce and add pineapple chunks. When hot, put in the meat balls. Heat through. Serve at once with tooth picks or keep hot in slow cooker.
