4 medium sized potatoes
1/3 cup butter (or margarine) melted
1/2 tsp oregano leaves crumbled
1/8 tsp cumin
1 egg
1 cup creamed cottage cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
Peel and thinly slice potatoes; arrange a layer of the potatoes in the bottom of a buttered 2 quart casserole. Im medium bowl, combine cottage cheese, butter, salt, oregano, black pepper and cumin. Spoon some of this mixture over potatoes. Repeat layering of potatoes and cheese mixture until all are used, ending with cheese.
Bake covered, in a preheated 375 degrees oven until potatoes are almost tender, aobut 35 minutes.
Lightly beat together sour cream and egg. Pour over potatoes. Bake, uncovered, until egg mixture is lightly browned, about 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
