- TIP: Just for an added zip and a little different flavor, add a little lemon juice to juices like apple or tomato. [Page 177]
- To clean your blender, pout a little soapy water (warm) in it and turn it on. Cleans it quickly. [Page 180]
- For a candlelight dinner, put candles in the refrigerator a few hours before using them and you will not have a problem with dripping wax. [Page 180]
- Try herbed butter or oregano butter on roast corn or broiled potatoes. [Page 180]
- Add a pair of whole cloves to the teapot and discover a delicious flavor. [Page 180]
- Try a dash of mace and discover the delight of spinach. [Page 180]
- Add 1/4 tsp each of thume, basil, parsley and chives to 1 pound of cooked, buttered noodles for a delicious taste. [Page 180]
- To clean burned pots, put water and baking soda in it and bring to a boil. Simmer for 45 minutes. Helps to loosen the burned particles. [Page 180]
- When using honey in making preserves, use a milkd tasting one. Strong ones may mask the fruit flavor. [Page 180]
